WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest football team will hold its annual spring game this Saturday, April 15th, at 3:00 p.m. at Groves Stadium. Admission to the game is free, and gates will open to the public at 2:30 p.m.

A buffet-style lunch featuring barbecue chicken and all the trimmings will be served at the stadium beginning at 2:30 p.m. Fans must purchase tickets for the buffet at a cost of $5 apiece. Those purchasing buffet tickets will be eligible to win numerous raffle prizes, including three Myrtle Beach vacations.

After the loss of 26 seniors from last year's Aloha Bowl Championship squad, the Demon Deacons will be fielding a relatively short spring roster. Without enough healthy players to field two full squads for a regular scrimmage, the Deacs will use a modified offense-vs.-defense format in the Spring Game. A unique scoring system will award points to both the offensive and defensive units for various types of big plays.
