Spring Football Game To Be Held Saturday

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest football team will complete spring practice with the annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 9 at Groves Stadium. Gates open at noon and the game begins at 1:00 p.m. in a live, offense vs. defense format.

The Spring Game is open to the public and admission is free. Mountain Fried Chicken and Pig Pickins will be on hand to sell lunch to spectators.

Since March 15, the team has held 14 practice sessions leading up to Saturday's final scrimmage. Teams are permitted 15 days of spring practice per NCAA regulations.

The game will be scored with a modified system that allows both the offense and defense to score points.


Spring Game Scoring System
Defense:
7 points   Defensive Touchdown
4 points   Turnover (Fumble or Interception)
3 points   Defense Forces The Offense To 3 & Out
1 point    Defense Forces The Offense To Punt
           Before Crossing The 50 Yardline

Offense: 6 points Touchdown 3 points Field Goal 1 point Point After Touchdown 1 point Offense Crosses The 50 Yardline
