North Carolina State Legislature To Honor Wake Forest Football

March 2, 2007

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The North Carolina State Legislature will honor the Wake Forest football team in Raleigh on Wednesday, March 7 at approximately 3:00 p.m.

State Senators Fred Smith and John Snow, both Wake Forest graduates and former members of the Demon Deacon football team in the 1960's, will present a joint resolution that recognizes Wake Forest's ACC Championship and berth in the FedEx Orange Bowl.

Head coach Jim Grobe and the entire Wake Forest football team will bus to Raleigh to be on-hand for the special presentation.

The presentation of the resolution is open to the public. Seating in the public gallery is on a first-come, first-serve basis. For directions, visit the General Assembly website at www.ncleg.net.
