Two Deacons Named To ACC's All-Academic Football Team

Greensboro, NC - Wake Forest football players Louis Frazier and Zac Selmon were among the 37 student-athletes named to the 2006 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Football Team, announced today by Commissioner John Swofford. Both Frazier and Selmon are repeat selections to the squad.

To be eligible for consideration, a player must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative average during his academic career.

Frazier, a junior offensive guard from Clearwater, Fla., is a biology major. Frazier played in 14 games in 2006 and started 12. He played 559 snaps with 69.5 knockdown blocks, the second-highest on the team.

Selmon, a junior tight end from Norman, Okla., is majoring in religion.  Selmon played in 14 games and started 12. He made 11 receptions for 134 yards.
