Spent the 1999 season as a standout tailback at Fork Union Military Academy where he was tutored by coach John Shuman
although sharing the rushing duties with two other backs (both Division I signees), he totaled 718 yards on the ground and scored eight times
previously attended Lee-Davis HS where he earned 10 varsity letters, including four in basketball, two in track and four in football
enjoyed a fabulous high school career on the gridiron that included more than 3,700 yards and 54 touchdowns
coached there by Richard McConnell
once ran for 330 yards in a single half of a high school contest
was an all-state, all-district, all-region and all-metro selection at Lee-Davis and the Central Virginia Player of the Year as a senior
