John Buck Postseason Postcard

Thursday, March 10 - 10:05 p.m.

Today started out with an early breakfast in the hotel. After some of the guys met with the media, we left for Gonzaga High School to practice. It's always fun to practice in a high school gym because it brings back a lot of memories for the guys. A lot of the students at Gonzaga enjoyed watching us practice, and were especially excited when Chris Ellis threw down a few alley-oops.

After practice, we headed back to the hotel for lunch and we were given a few hours of free time. Half of the guys watched the tournament games on TV while the other half checked out the sights of DC.

At 6:00 p.m., the team headed to the Capital Grille for dinner. Personally, this is my favorite restaurant that we go to all year. The food just keeps coming and coming. The team meals will definitely be one of the things I miss most when I graduate.

Scott Feather, Vytas Danelius, Jamaal Levy and I discussed strategy for the game tomorrow.

When we got back to the hotel, we watched some film from this afternoon's NC State-Florida State game. Coach Kelsey gave us some keys for the game and gave us advice on what we can improve upon from our last game with the Wolfpack.

Our curfew is in an hour and we have another early wake-up tomorrow.

On a closing note, I would like to thank Coach Battle for molding me into the player that I am today. Thanks, Coach.
