WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Wake Forest senior guard Justin Gray was named second team All-ACC and senior center Eric Williams earned third team All-ACC, announced today by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA).
Gray, a Charlotte native, earned All-ACC honors for the third consecutive year. He was a first team selection in 2004 and a second team pick last season. In 2003 he was named to the ACC All-Freshmen team.
Williams, a Wake Forest native, was named All-ACC for the second straight year. He was a second team selection last season.
The All-ACC first team includes J.J. Redick (Duke), Shelden Williams (Duke), Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina), Craig Smith (Boston College) and Sean Singletary (Virginia).
Gray was joined on the second team by Al Thornton (Florida State), Guillermo Diaz (Miami), Jared Dudley (Boston College) and David Noel (North Carolina).
Williams was joined on the third team by Cameron Bennerman (NC State), Robert Hite (Miami), Nik Caner-Medley (Maryland), J.R. Reynolds (Virginia) and Reyshawn Terry (North Carolina).
Wake Forest has placed at least one player on the All-ACC team in each of the last eight seasons. This is the first year since 2002 that no Deacons were selected for the first team.
