COLUMBIA, S.C. - Three players from the Wake Forest baseball team were named
to the All-Tournament team at the Columbia, SC Regional this past weekend.
Center fielder Cory Sullivan, first baseman Jamie Athas and designated
hitter Danny Borrell were all named to the All-Tournament team.
Sullivan had an outstanding regional, batting .533 over the Deacs' four
games in Columbia. He drove in five runs during the tournament and led off
two of the games with home runs.
Athas was 4-for-11 (.364) for the tournament. He started three of the four
games, and saw action in all four. Athas scored two runs and drove in one
for the Deacs.
Borrell, who also pitched the final game of the regional, was second on the
team with four RBI. He batted .294, and two of his five hits were doubles.
Wake ended its season with a record of 41-20-1.
