WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The 18th-ranked Wake Forest baseball team received a bid
to the NCAA regional to be held in Columbia, SC May 26-28, announced by the
NCAA on Monday.
The regional is hosted by the University of South Carolina, the top seed in
the tournament. The Deacs will be matched up against the Seton Hall Pirates
of the Big East. The two teams will play on Friday at 2 p.m. South Carolina
and Liberty play at 7 p.m. Friday night.
Wake enters the tournament at 39-18-1 overall after reaching the
quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament last week. This is the third
consecutive season Wake has made the NCAA Tournament and the eighth time
overall.
