Wake Forest returns to action this week after its 13-days off for final exams. The Demon Deacons open up the week at Elon on Tuesday. First-pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wake Forest will then travel to Boone and play Appalachian State Wednesday at 3 pm. The Deacs will close the week with their final ACC home series as the Clemson Tigers role into Winston-Salem. The scheduled for the weekend series is as follows: Friday (3 pm), Saturday (1:30 pm) and Sunday (1 pm). There will be radio for the Elon game and the entire series with Clemson. Those games will be broadcast live on WBRF-FM (98.1) and will be available on the world wide web at WakeForestSports.com through the Yahoo subscription service. Live stats will also be available at WakeForestSports.com via Gametracker.

The Series vs. the Phoenix: Wake Forest leads 15-10.

Notes: Elon has captured four of the last six meetings, but the Demon Deacons won this season's earlier meeting 10-2 back on Mar. 29. Over the last 12 meetings between the Deacs and the Phoenix, six have been decided by two runs or less.

The Series vs. the Mountaineers: Wake Forest leads 30-9.

Notes: Wake Forest has won 15 in a row in the series dating back to 1996. The Demon Deacons captured this season's earlier meeting, 11-4, back on Feb. 22. Last year, the Deacons beat ASU in the home opener, 13-6, but the return trip to Boone, N.C. was snowed out.

RANKINGS... Wake Forest, Elon and Appalachian State are unranked in any of the four polls.

ON DECK... After this week's two non-conference road games with Elon and Appalachian State,Wake Forest will host Clemson for their final ACC series at Hooks Stadium on May 13-15.
