Wake Forest All-American centerfielder Cory Sullivan
earned ACC Player of the Week honors for the third time this season.
The senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., led the Demon Deacons to a 4-1 week by
hitting 8-for-18 (.444) with three home runs, nine RBI, 12 runs and four
stolen bases.
Sullivan's week was highlighted by a four-for-five day against Georgia
Tech on Sunday with two home runs and a career-high six RBI. His
seven-hit, seven-run performance in three games helped Wake Forest take
two of three at third-ranked Georgia Tech.
Wake Forest is 27-11 overall, 11-7 in the ACC and tied for second
place. The Demon Deacons are in the midst of a seven-game road swing.
Tomorrow, Wake Forest plays at UNC Greensboro at 6:00 p.m. On
Wednesday, the Demon Deacons play at High Point at 3:00 p.m. This
weekend, Wake Forest will host NC State for a three-game set starting
Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Ernie Shore Field.
