WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest third baseman Corey Slavik was named ACC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Last week, Slavik produced 10 hits in 16 at bats. He scored six runs and drove in 10 more. Slavik produced two doubles, a triple and a home run during the week. In the final game of the week, Slavik went 3-for-5 with six RBI while helping the Deacons win the Hormel Foods Classic at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. For his efforts, Slavik was named MVP of the tournament.

For the season, Slavik is batting .534 with five home runs and 27 RBI.
