RALEIGH, NC - Junior pitcher Scott Siemon (5-1) pitched a complete game shut out to lead the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to an 11-0 victory over the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the ACC opener for both teams at N.C. State's Doak Field on Friday. Siemon gave up just four hits and struck out four batters in the win.

After two scoreless innings, the Deacs jumped on top with three runs in the top of the third inning. All three runs came on Danny Borrell's sixth home run of the season, giving Wake the 3-0 lead.

Wake broke the game open with eight runs in the top of the fourth. Borrell drove in two more runs in the inning to give him five RBI for the game. Cory Sullivan, Stephen Sullivan, Chase Voshell, Corey Slavik and Dan Conway all drove in runs for Wake Forest in the inning.

Borrell went 2-for-4 with five RBI to lead Wake at the plate. Slavik went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

With the win, Wake improves to 12-4 overall and 1-0 in ACC play. N.C. State drops to 10-7 overall and 0-1 in league play. The same two teams will play again Saturday with the first pitch scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
