ORLANDO, Fla. -- David Gil pitched five shutout innings to lead the sixth-ranked Miami Hurricanes (2-0) to a 6-3 win over the 21st-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons on the first day of the ACC Disney Baseball Blast at Disney's Wide World of Sports on Friday.
