About Woodall... One of the veteran leaders on the team... righthanded power hitter who will provide depth in the outfield... experienced pinch hitter... possesses a great work ethic... one of the hardest workers on the team... continues to improve every year... spent the summer of 2007 with the Danbury Westerners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League... majoring in political science with a minor in entrepreneurship and social enterprise... born May 15, 1985.
In 2007... Played in 22 games and made nine starts... hit .191 with one home run and seven RBIs... went 3-for-11 as a pinch hitter... had the game-winning infield single in the bottom of the ninth in the season opener against Kent State (Feb. 16)... had a pinch-hit, two-run double against Florida State on March 17... started at designated hitter for Wake Forest's NCAA Tournament games against Brown (June 2) and Texas (June 3).
In 2006... Started 10 of the 21 games in which he played, all at designated hitter... hit .244 with 11 RBIs... went 3-for-4 with one RBI against Florida on Feb. 26... went 2-for-4 with three RBIs against Miami on May 13... hit his only home run of the season on March 8 against Elon, going 1-for-5 with two RBIs in the process.
In 2005... Redshirted the season.
Prior to Wake Forest... Three-year letterwinner at first base and catcher... led the conference in batting average (.523) during senior season... named all-conference each of his last two years... named All-Central Virginia first team during his senior season... awarded all-state first team as a senior... helped high school team to the conference championship... earned two letters in football at fullback and defensive end.
