Made one appearance at Rice... pitched two innings and allowed three runs.
2001: FRESHMAN SEASON
Pitched in five games and got his feet wet in the ACC at Florida State and Georgia Tech... looked sharp vs. Appalachian State going two innings 0with just one hit allowed and a strikeout... pitched two innings at Florida State allowing one run on two hits but with two strikeouts... threw two innings against Duke and gave up two runs on one hit and three walks... made his career debut against Charlotte.
HOOVER HIGH SCHOOL
Voted All-Valley first baseman in 1999... earned Hoover High's most valuable player award as a senior... named team's most improved player as a sophomore... averaged over two strikeouts per inning pitched as a junior... participated in the Area Code Games last summer in Long Beach, pitched and won two games at the 1998 Junior Olympics in Tucson, Ariz.
