About Ocheltree... Two-year starter in the outfield... is expected to start in rightfield for the Deacs... adds athleticism and power to the lineup... showed more consistency at the plate in the fall... great defensive rightfielder... arguably the team's best all-around defensive outfielder... played for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod League during the summer of 2007... majoring in economics... son of Richard & Robin Ocheltree.

In 2007... Started 57 games and played in 60 games total on the season... hit .282 with seven home runs and 35 RBIs... slugged .458 and had an on-base percentage of .357... led the team and tied for eighth in the ACC with four triples... was third on the team in total bases with 104... stole seven bases in nine attempts... had a pair of nine-game hitting streaks (March 2-19; April 21 - May 12)... turned in 14 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games... went 3-for-5 with five RBIs April 25 at Appalachian State... drove in four runs on March 21 at Winthrop.

In 2006... Started 42 of the 44 games he played, primarily in right field... batted .276 on the season with six home runs, 10 doubles and two triples... possessed a slugging percentage of .472, fourth-best on the team... had 77 total bases on the year, good for third on the team... had 15 multi-hit games, including seven games of three hits... hit two home runs and batted in four runs against Duke on April 15... had a total of four home runs, seven RBIs and nine hits over the span of the three-game series with the Blue Devils (April 14-16)... went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs against NC State on April 8.

Prior to Wake Forest... Five-year letterwinner at The Collegiate School... led scholastic squad in home runs, stolen bases and RBIs in 2004... twice earned Most Valuable Player honors... one of Virginia's top outfield prospects... named second team All-Metro and All-Virginia... attended Blue/Grey Showcase in both 2003 and 2004... also participated in the Perfect Game in Florida (2003), Team One at Georgia Tech, Commonwealth Games (2004) and Top Gun in Las Vegas (2004).
