In 2003:
Played in 46 games as a rookie and started 43... started behind the dish in the team's first 25 games while Ryder Mathias was injured... reached base in 18 games during that stretch, batting .289 with one home run and 15 RBI... went 4-for-5 with a double, a walk and four runs scored against Appalachian State, becoming the first freshman in Wake Forest history to have four hits in their debut... posted two six-game hitting streaks during the season... belted his first career home run and knocked in two runs in an extra inning victory at Maryland on March 16... reached base five times in six plate appearances against Wofford on March 12, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI and three walks... went 3-for-4 against Maryland on March 15 and finished the series going 6-for-15 with a home run and two doubles... wore down as the season progressed and finished the year with a .227 average, one home run and 20 RBI.
At Berlin HS:
Selected to play in the American Legion East/West Classic... a consensus first team catcher in the Northwest Conference... considered to be the best catching prospect in New England.
