About Enick... A power-hitter that experienced a breakthrough season in 2005 and will once again provide some power in the middle of the order... will see time as the designated hitter and first base... took a medical redshirt in 2004 and saw no playing time in 2003... along with freshman Allan Dykstra, could possess the most raw power on the squad... attended the same high school as former Cincinnati Reds and current Pittsburgh Pirates slugger Sean Casey... major is finance... born Sept. 12, 1983.
In 2005... Played in 48 games and started 47... batted .311 with five home runs and 45 RBI... ranked second on the team with 16 multi-RBI games and third in RBI... was named ACC Player of the Week (Feb. 28) after batting .786 (11-for-14) with two doubles, one home run, six runs scored and seven RBI in the previous week... recorded hits in nine consecutive official at-bats, the first nine hits of his career... was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases... drove in 27 runs in 29 ACC games -- second most on the squad... went 4-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBI and a two-run home run against Cincinnati (Feb. 25)... drove in five RBI and drilled his first career grand slam against Clemson (May 13)... went 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in the victory over Miami (Mar 19).
In 2004... Sat out with medical redshirt.
In 2003... Appeared in three games, against Appalachian State on Feb. 11, against Albany on March 6 and Liberty on April 22... had three at-bats but did not reach base.
Prior to Wake Forest... An All-South selection and a member of the Diamond Dozen... considered to be the best power hitting prospect in Pennsylvania... named first team at the Blue-Gray Classic... helped lead the Panthers to back-to-back sectional titles... a member of the Allegheny Team in the Keystone State Games... an excellent student, a member of the National Honor Society and a Student of the Year nominee.
