Had one of the best all-around seasons in Wake Forest history... led the Deacons in average, hits, triples and stolen bases... started every game in center field for Wake... reached base in 60 of 61 games... did not slip below .355 at any point last year... third in the ACC in batting average, third in triples, third in on-base percentage, fifth in hits and fifth in stolen bases... batting .456 vs. ACC pitching... second in the league with 44 hits in ACC games (1.91 per game)... a tremendous fielder who made just one error... hit .512 with runners in scoring position (41-for-80)... knocked in four game-winning runs... his 11th inning RBI single proved to be the game-winner at New Orleans on March 11... had multi-hit games against nationally-ranked teams including Clemson, Rice, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Nebraska and Richmond... had nine hits in a three-game series vs. Maryland... enjoyed a 14-game hitting streak from April 27 through June 1.

Played the past two summers for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the prestigious wood bat Cape Cod League... named to the All-Star team in 2001 and 2002... helped take Y-D to the 2002 playoffs... batted .500 in the postseason... finished second in the league in hitting at .323, second with 50 hits and fifth in stolen bases with 18... reached base in four of five plate appearances in the 2002 All-Star Game and scored the East's only run.
KISHWAUKEE JC / EASTVIEW HS
Selected to the all-conference and all-region teams as a sophomore... hit .331 at Kishwaukee as a freshman with 43 runs in 43 games... an All-Region IV All-Tournament Team pick... named male athlete of the year at Kishwaukee... attended Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minn., and was coached by J.D. Bickle.
