2007 NCAA Tournament Information

Staten Island, NY - California Here We Come! The Wagner Seahawks (17-14) will be the No. 8 seed for the upcoming NCAA Water Polo Championships (May 11-13) to be held in Los Alamitos, CA at the Joint Forces Training Base and hosted by Long Beach State. The Green & White will square off against the No. 1 seed Stanford Cardinal on Friday, May 11 at 8:00 pm EST.

"I'm ecstatic to be in the Tournament," said head coach Pat Beemer. "To get in we had to do something we hadn't done all season in beating Marist. I am really proud of the girls for overcoming the three previous losses and winning the MAAC Title. Now we have a daunting task in front of us in Stanford."

The Seahawks captured their second MAAC Water Polo Championship in three years with a thrilling 8-7 win over Marist at the McCann Center to return to the NCAA Championships. Senior Stacey Travous (New Ulm, MN / Cumberland Valley) was named the Tournament MVP while junior Billy Hoelck (San Diego, CA / U. of San Diego HS) led the way offensively with five goals.
