Staten Island, NY -- The MAAC announced their weekly women's water polo awards earlier today and two Wagner Seahawks were selected. Sophomore Billy Hoelck (San Diego, CA/U. of San Diego HS) was named offensive player of the week, while teammate junior Anne Wolkenhauer (Fullerton, CA/Fullerton Union) was named defensive player of the week.

Sophomore Billy Hoelck was named MAAC offensive player of the week after piling up 15 goals in the last six games for Wagner

Hoelck led Wagner to a 4-2 start in the first part of their California road trip. She totaled 15 goals in the six games and dished out six assists while drawing several ejections.

Wolkenhauer has been a defensive force in the first six games for Wagner on their California road trip. Her thievery reached a season high when she recorded seven steals in a win over Air Force. She has also chipped in with five goals.

The Green & White are next in action later today with games against Cal Baptist and Cal State San Bernardino.
