Feb. 24, 2007 Lewisburg, PA -- The Wagner College women's water polo team dropped their first game of the Bucknell Invitational to the host Bison by a count of 11-6 earlier today. With the loss Wagner falls to 4-3 on the season with two more games remaining on the day. Bucknell jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and it would be tough for the Green & White to recover after that. Wagner tallied two goals to cut the score in half at 4-2 but they would not get much closer after that. The Bison would open up an 11-3 lead before three straight goals by Wagner to close out the scoring. Nicole Maichrowicz (Temple City, CA/Temple City) led Wagner in scoring with two goals. The Seahawks have George Washington and Maryland remaining on today's schedule of games. |
