Bio/Personal Viramontes transfers to Wagner from Rio Hondo junior college, the same JC attended by head coach Pat Beemer. While at Rio Hondo the Montebello native was named MVP in her two seasons along with being named 1st team-All-Conference. Viramontes played her high school polo at Montebello for head coach Sergio Macias. She was also a member of the swim team for three years during high school. While in high school she was named All-American on two occassions and played varsity all four years. Viramontes also played polo for club team Commerce Aquatics for six years. Personally Y-Vette likes the color blue, a happy blue, not a sad blue, like blues music if you will, and notes that the Adam Sandler movie "Big Daddy" is her favorite. She is also a fingerpainting enthusiast and likes to use the offseason to backpack through various mountain ranges, most notably, the Himalayas. She has a twin sister named Yvonne and Yvette just loves those powerbars. Viramontes is majoring in sociology.
