Volleyball Concludes Season With 3-0 Win At Quinnipiac

Hamden, CT - The Wagner Seahawks concluded their season with a convincing 3-0 win over Quinnipiac in Northeast Conference (NEC) volleyball action as the Green & White won by scores of 30-17, 30-26 and 30-25.

The Seahawks dominated the match out-hitting Quinnpiac .250-.163 and registered 50 kills compared with just 38 for the Bobcats.

Freshman Kelsey Rose (Springfield Township, OH / Roger Bacon) led the way for Wagner with her first collegiate double-double, posting a career-high 15 kills, on .306 hitting, with 13 digs. Sarah Garrette (Barrington, IL / Barrington) concluded her fine junior season by registering 11 kills, on .381 hitting, with nine digs. Freshman Ashley Pepper (Washington Court House, OH / Washington Senior) notched 16 kills, on .333 hitting, with seven digs to round out the top performers for Wagner. Sophomore Gabi Hilk (Wilmington, DE / Alexis I. DuPont) led the setters with 43 assists.

Win the win, Wagner finishes up 4-18 and 2-6 in the NEC while the Bobcats conclude their 2007 campaign with a 1-29 record and 0-8 in the NEC.
