Staten Island, NY - Wagner Athletics will be sponsoring a Women's Soccer Alumni Day on August 19, 2007.

Head Coach Mike Minielli and the entire Wagner soccer program encourage former players alike to dust off cleats and gather up old shin guards and take the field one more time.

The event will begin at noon with a scrimmage against the current Seahawks soccer squad and will be played on the newly "turfed" soccer field.

All players will be treated to a reception after the game, and win or lose, every participant will receive a Wagner Soccer T-shirt. Family and friends of the program are invited to take in this event which is a celebration of all Seahawk players - past and present.

"I am excited to meet the past players in our soccer program," said second-year Head Coach Mike Minielli. "It will serve as a good tune up for our current players and allow for positive interaction between players from past and present as well as a lot of fun!"
