Women's Soccer Loses To Binghamton, 4-0

Senior Heather Daubert and the Seahawks look for their first victory Thursday at Lafayette

Sept. 10, 2006

Box Score

Vestal, NY - The Wagner College Women's Soccer team lost to the Bearcats of Binghamton University this afternoon at West Gym Field by the score of 4-0. They now move to a record of (0-4-0) on the season.

Binghamton (1-3-2) opened up the scoring just 7:46 into the contest when they headed in a corner kick to give them a 1-0 advantage. The Bearcats would go on to score again before heading into the half giving them a 2-0 leading margin at the break.

The Seahawks couldn't muster up a comeback, however, in the second half as Binghamton would tack on two more goals before the final horn sounded.

Senior midfielder Heather Daubert (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) was the only the only Seahawk to get a shot on goal on the afternoon.

In goal, freshman Megan Lasky (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) got her first start of her career and spent all 90 minutes between the pipes. She racked up four saves on the day.

The Seahawks next game is this Thursday when they travel to Easton, Pennsylvania to take on the Leopards of Lafayette College under the lights at 7 p.m.
