Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's soccer team got the season rolling this afternoon at Wagner College Stadium by scrimmaging the Panthers of Adelphi University in 100 minute long test for both sides to sub and tweak and let the players get back into the swing.

"We felt pretty good about the way we played from the standpoint that this is only our third day of playing together so far this season," said Wagner Head Coach Mike Minielli. "The things we didn't do in today's game I think are very easily fixed and we were very happy with the way our freshmen played today.

"The three goals we gave up were more of things we gave them (Adelphi) as opposed to something we gave up. We just need to get quicker on the ball and stay organized from a tactical standpoint the next time we go out."

Four Seahawks had opportunities throughout the scrimmage to land one for a score but none were able to come up roses.

The Seahawks now travel to Dominican College in Orangeburg, New York this coming Monday for yet another exhibition. Game time is slated for 5 p.m.
