Women's golf in tie for 4th place after one round of NEC Championship



Caitlin Miller fired off an opening round 82, in a tie for fifth place

Orlando, FL - After the first round of the NEC Tournament, the Wagner women's golf team finds themselves in a tie for fourth place with Mount St. Mary's with a score of 357 (+69) at the Par 72, 5,919-yard Disney Lake Buena Vista Golf Course.

The Seahawks trail only Long Island in third place, St. Francis (PA) in second, and Monmouth in first with a score of 332 (+44).

Individually, Wagner was led by senior Caitlin Miller (Sutter Creek, CA/Amador) shot an 82 which has her in a tie for fifth place overall and senior Alysse Sweeney (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) shot an 83 which put her in a tie for seventh place.

The final round of the NEC Women's Championship play will commence tomorrow, Sunday, April 30 at Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Starting tee times begin at 7:30 a.m.
