Nov. 2, 2005 Wagner College women's golf finished ninth out of 11 teams at the Sacred Heart Invitational on Monday. Senior Alysse Sweeney (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Hills) led the Seahawks shooting an 83 for both rounds to finish day two with a total of 166 and tying for 10th place overall. Senior Caitlin Miller (Sutter Creek, CA / Amador) tied for 33rd shooting a 90 for both days for a score of 180. Other notables for Wagner were sophomore Emily Noelker (Southbury, CT / Pomperaug) with 183 (91-92), freshman Jessica Nees with 211 (107-104), and junior Kathleen Norton (Boston, MA / Boston Latin) with 214 (108-106). Boston College was the overall winner with a total of 654. Boston College's Emily Cannon was the first place finisher with a total of 159 (81-78). This concludes Wagner women's fall season for golf and they will return to play in the spring. |
