Junior Emily Noelker lead the Seahawks finishing in fifth place overall

Oct. 17, 2006

Final Stats

Telford, PA - The Wagner College women's golf team ended a two-round winner-take-all tournament in sixth place out of six teams this weekend at the Indian Valley Country Club in the annual Don Mershon Classic/Lehigh University Invitational.

Junior Emily Noelker (Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) had a tremendous two rounds in the tournament with an overall scorecard of 80/84 (164) which put her all alone in fifth place in the individual leaderboard. She was the only non-Siena College golfer to crack the top five.

Freshman Helen Otis (Ho Ho Kus, NJ/Northern Highlands Regional) was next, chalking up a score of 89/89(178) pitting her in a tie for 19th. Freshman Jennifer Petrotta (Staten Island, NY/Susan E. Wagner) orchestrated a tally of 96/92 (188) pitting her in 24th place, while freshman Allison Amador (Middle Island, NY/Longwood) went 99/92 (191) for a 27th place finish.

Junior Sara Mooney (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) rounded out the group shooting a 119 in her second round. She had to withdraw from competition in the first round.

The Seahawks next trial on the course comes at home Oct. 24 when they host their own quad match at the Richmond County Country Club.
