April 30, 2006 Orlando, FL - The Wagner women's golf team finished in fourth place after the final round today of the NEC Championship at Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. They ended the outing with a score of 357, 16 strokes behind the winner, St. Francis (PA). Leading the way for the Seahawks was senior Alysse Sweeney (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) who ended the two-day tournament in seventh place with a total score of 163 (80/83). Right behind her were teammates Caitlin Miller (Sr., Sutter Creek, CA/Amador) with a 167 (82/85) and Emily Noelker (So., Southbury, CT/Pomperaug) with also a final tally of 167 (887/80). All three aforementioned Wagner golfers were recognized as NEC All-Conference team members as a result of their fine play in the two rounds. |
