KUTZTOWN, PA - The Wagner women's golf team kicked off their spring season with a second-place finish at the Kutztown Spring Invitational earlier today at the Berkleigh Country Club.

The Seahawks finished with a score of 349, 13 shots behind Mount St. Mary's which took the three-team event with a score of 336. Host Kutztown University was third with a 357.

Sophomore Emily Noelker (Southbury, CT / Pomperaug) was the top finisher for the Green & White, tying for second with an 82 while senior Alysse Sweeney (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Hills) tied for fifth with an 85. Senior Caitlin Miller (Sutter Creek, CA / Amador) was eighth (90), freshman Jessica Nees (Red Lodge, MT / Keystone National) 12th (92) and junior Kathleen Norton (Boston, MA / Boston Latin) 16th (99) to round out the Seahawk-scorers.

Holly Shubilla of Kutztown took individual-medalist honors with a 79.

The Seahawks return to action on April 2-3 when they take part in the Monmouth Invitational.
