Nov. 14, 2006 Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College Wrestling team lost their first home match of the new season tonight at the Spiro Sports Center, falling to Hofstra University, 56-0. The Seahawks were highlighted by senior Justin Ensign (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) who continues a solid early season thus far by putting in a respectable losing 14-5 decision against Pride grappler Mike Parziale in the 149 lb. weight class. All other Seahawk wrestlers were either pinned or fell short to a Hofstra opponent, who is currently the number 11th team in the country. The Seahawks next match comes this Sunday in Philadelphia, Pa. when they compete in the Keystone Classic at the University of Pennsylvania. |
