Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College Wrestling team lost their final home match of the season tonight at the Spiro Sports Center, falling to Sacred Heart University, 44-9.

The Seahawks were highlighted by sophomore Sean Quinn (Barnegat, NJ/Southern Regional) who was the only Seahawk to come up victorious on the night with a 6-1 decision over Pioneer grappler Michael Hartman in the 157 pound weight class.

It was Quinn's first victory on the year.

All other Seahawk wrestlers fell short to their Pioneer opponent, with only one other match ending in decision, which was a 9-2 loss taken by senior Justin Ensign (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East).

Before the match, head coach Doug Jesse honored Ensign and fellow senior Patrick Larkin (Danbury, CT/Danbury) for their final home match of their respective careers.

The Seahawks now look forward to January 19 when they compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Duals in Fairfax, Va.
