Bryan Molk joined the Wagner College lacrosse program in August, 2007 following a standout, four-year career at Division II power Bryant University where he played under head coach Mike Pressler, the former Duke University and U.S. Lacrosse head coach, a well as Kyle Devoe and Chuck Blanchard. During his fine career at Bryant, where he was a standout midfielder, Molk led the Bulldogs to three conference championship appearances. In 2007, he helped the Bulldogs to their first-ever Northeast 10 Conference Regular Season Championship, which came on the heels of an undefeated conference season. Molk flourished in his role as team captain his senior year, earning Second-Team All-America honors and was named First-Team All-Northeast 10 Conference. He was also a two-time All-New England Region choice. "Bryan will be a major asset to the Wagner College men's lacrosse program both as an on-the-field coach as well as in the recruiting phase," said Rife. "I am very excited to add Bryan to our program. I had the pleasure of coaching him when I was an assistant at Bryant University and saw first-hand his leadership qualities and passion for the game of lacrosse. As a recent collegiate player, he truly understands what it means to be a student-athlete. Bryan's knowledge of the game and sincere interest in developing young players will be key ingredients as we build this program." Following his graduation from Bryant, Molk served as an assistant coach of the Northeast Region Massachusetts High-School Team, helping to guide this squad to a Gold Medal in the 2007 Bay-State Games in Boston. Prior to Bryant, Molk was a two-time All-League selection and captain in both lacrosse and football for Peabody (MA). |
