Senior Chris DeCarlo shot a final round 78

Oct. 10, 2006

Ithaca, NY - The Wagner College men's golf team ended a two-day, three-round tournament in a tie with Lafayette College for 13th place out of 15 teams this weekend at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in the annual Cornell Invitational.

Senior Chris DeCarlo (Manchester, CT/Manchester) was the low Seahawk in the clubhouse at the tournament's end turning in a stately overall three-round scorecard of 80/75/74 (229) good enough for a four-way tie at 26th overall out of the 78 golfers that competed. He was 13 over par.

Sophomore Chris Meehan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Morristown Beard) was next, chiseling a score of 80/84/78 (242) pitting him in a tie for 56th. Sophomore Christopher Fourman (Greenville, Oh/Greenville) composed a tally of 79/76/91 (246) putting him in a tie for 63rd, while sophomore Charles Lupardo's (Staten Island, NY/Susan B. Wagner) performance went 78/88/82 (248) for a tie for 66th.

Senior Peter Aloisio (Floral Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) rounded out the group going 84/89 - he did not qualify for the final round.

The Seahawks next trial on the course comes Oct. 6 when they compete in a St. Peter's Quad match at Rock Springs Golf Course in Neshanic Valley, New Jersey.
