First year head coach Dean Gultula

Sept. 17, 2007

Piscataway, NJ - The Wagner College men's golf team finished in 10th place out of 18 teams after three rounds of a two-day event hosted by Rutgers University in New Jersey at Rutgers University Golf Course, a par-71 6,337-yard course.

Freshman Jeffrey Smolar was the low man in the clubhouse at the tournament's end for the Seahawks, turning in a scorecard of 235 (78/77/80) - good enough for a 66th place tie among all the golfers competing.

Fellow freshman Thomas Abramoski was next, firing off total score of 241 (81/79/81) good enough for a tie for 74th. Junior Christopher Fourman was five strokes behind Abramoski with a 246 (83/82/81) in a tie for 81st, while freshman Connor Popp and junior Chris Meehan rounded out the group in 88th and 89th place, respectively.
