Men's Golf Finishes 17th At Colgate University Invitational

Senior Chris DeCarlo was the low man for the Seahawks over the weekend

Sept. 12, 2006

Hamilton, NY - The Wagner College men's golf team placed 17th out of 17 teams this weekend at the Seven Oaks Golf Course in the annual Colgate Fall Invitational.

Senior Chris DeCarlo (Manchester, CT/Manchester) was the low man in the clubhouse at the tournament's end turning in an impressive overall two-day scorecard of 160 - including a 77 on the last day of competition - good enough for a three-way tie at 51st overall out of the 85 golfers that competed.

Sophomore Chris Meehan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Morristown Beard) was next, firing off an 81 and 82 on the links for a combined score of 163, good enough for a tie for 67th. Sophomore Christopher Fourman (Greenville, Oh/Greenville) racked up a two-day score of 169 putting him in a tie for 78th, while sophomore Charles Lupardo (Staten Island, NY/Susan B. Wagner) shot a 170 and tied for 81st.

Senior Peter Aloisio (Floral Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) rounded out the group shooting a 178 for the two-day extravaganza.

The Seahawks next trial on the course comes Sept. 30 when they compete at the Cornell Invitational in Ithaca, NY.
