Junior Chris DeCarlo shot a final round 79 to finish in a tie for 32nd

Portsmouth, RI - The Wagner College men's golf team placed 11th out of 12 teams this weekend at the Green Valley Country Club in the annual two-day University of Rhode Island Northeast Spring Invitational.

Freshman Christopher Fourman (Greenville, OH/Greenville) was the low man in the clubhouse at the day's end turning in an impressive scorecard of 162 (83/79), good enough for a tie for 29th overall.

Junior Chris DeCarlo (Manchester, CT/Manchester) was next, firing off an 164 (85/79) on the links for a tie for 32nd. Freshman Chris Meehan(Scotch Plains, NJ/Morristown Beard) racked up an 174 (85/89) putting him in 53rd place, while another freshman Matt Wagner (State College, PA/Huntington Area) shot an 176 (94/82) and tied for 54th.

Senior James Dougherty (Saugerties, NY/The Pendleton School) rounded out the group shooting a 177 (88/89) to end the tournament.

The Seahawks next trial on the course comes this Friday when they travel to Orlando, Florida for the NEC Championships.
