Portsmouth, RI - Senior Chris DeCarlo (Manchester, CT/Manchester) leads the Seahawks after the first round of the Northeast Invitational in a tie for 12th place after turning into the clubhouse after nine holes - due to the rain - with a score of 38.

Unfortunately, the team is struggling so far as they placed eleventh out of the eleven teams that competed, shooting a combined 167, seven strokes behind tenth placed Fordham University.

Sacred Heart leads all teams with a combined score of 150, besting Quinnipiac by only one stroke.

Other notable scores on the Green & White side were Peter Aloisio (Sr., Floral Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) who finished with a 41 - tied for 46th, Chris Meehan (So., Scotch Plains, NJ/Morristown Beard) who shot a 43, and Christopher Fourman (So., Greenville, OH/Greenville) who finished the first round with a 45.
