2006-07 (5-senior): The team captain and lone senior on the team he started 27 of 30 games he played ... Started the final 25 games of the year ... Averaged 7.3 ppg and 3.8 rpg on the year ... Averaged 13.3 ppg in the last three contests ... Made at least one three-pointer in 19 games ... Had a season high five three-pointers and 17 points in a win at Mount St. Mary's in the season finale ... Shot .722 from the free throw line in 18 attempts ... Scored eights points for the game and was 2-2 from three in the second half in a close loss at #12 and national runner-up UCLA.
2004-05 (R-sophomore): Started in 10 of the 30 games... Ranked 4th in the NEC in three-point FG percentage (42.3%) and three-pointers made (69)... His 69 three's are the 8th most in a single season at Wagner... Recorded 12 games with at least three three-pointers... Made a three in 27 of 30 games... Scored in double figures off the bench eight times... Had 10 points on 4-7 shooting at St. John's (11/20)... Posted 17 points and three steals at American (11/23)... Came off the bench, with 19 points, four treys & six rebounds at Northern Iowa (12/21/04)... Matched then career-highs with 19 points & 6 rebounds for the second straight game at Drake... Made a career-best six treys at Drake (12/23)... Had a career-best 20 points on 6-9 shooting, including 5-8 treys in win over Quinnipiac (1/31)... Had 16 points, making 5-8 three-pointers, including one with 29 seconds remaining to tie the game at 61-61 at SFNY (2/12)... Prior to Wagner/Personal: Played three seasons of varsity at Saint Edmund's Prep in Brooklyn, NY under head coach Brian Mullen ... Is the school's first Division I signee ... In three years at the Brooklyn school, Vitale and the Eagles finished with a combined record of 52-27 including 18-10 as a sophomore, 19-7 as a junior and 15-10 as a senior ... Became the second boy in the school's history to score 1,000 career points (accomplished in last high school game) ... Was a two-time (junior/senior) New York Daily News honorable mention All-Star ...
