John Pugliese enters his second season as a member of the Seahawk coaching staff. Pugliese's primary responsibilities include game day preparation, video exchange, academic monitoring, recruiting and on the floor coaching instruction.

A holder of numerous records at Chicago area high school, Neuqua Valley, Pugliese's passion for the coaching profession was ignited after a shoulder injury cut short his collegiate playing career at Wisconsin-Platteville University (UPW).

After holding similar coaching duties at UWP, Pugliese arrived at Wagner after earning a Physical Education Degree in May of 2006.

During his three-year playing career under head coach Paul Combs, the Pioneers captured the 2004-05 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship, a notable feat as the WIAC is regarded as one of the top Division III conferences in the nation.

At Neuqua Valley HS, the Naperville, IL product was the ultimate playmaker, setting school records for career, season and game assists.

The two-year captain was a unanimous All-Conference and honorable mention All-Area selection while leading the team to a regional championship his senior year. Pugliese attended Lake Forest College (IL), where he started 11 games in 2002-03, before transferring to UPW.
