Played his prep ball at Brick High School under the direction of Jason Groschell ... As a junior, was named the Dragons Most Valuable Player and won the 2005 and 2006 Bionic Arm Awards ... 2006 Carpenter Cup selection and earned All-County Second Team and All-Shore Third Team accolades ... Also collected the Tom Weber Battery Award in his junior campaign ... Named Athlete of the Week by the Asbury Park Press ... Brick's Rookie of the Year in 2005 ... Played legion ball in Ocean County and was a 2006 All-Star ... Lettered in football and basketball at Brick ... Earned the Dragons' MVP in football as a senior and was the Defensive MVP his last two years ... Named First Team Honorable Mention by the Asbury Park Press in basketball while being honored as Brick's Defensive Player of the Year as a junior ... In the summer of 2007, played in the Jersey Shore Baseball League (JSBL) with the Point Pirates ... Has a sister Tara (24) ... Is majoring in education with a minor in film.
