Somerset, NJ - The Northeast Conference (NEC) announced Wagner senior Mouhamed Halwani (Staten Island, NY/Xaverian) Cross Country Athlete of the Week while freshman Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) was named Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row.

Halwani set the pace in the 41st Annual Albany Cross Country Invitational placing 17th with a time of 25:48 to capture his second NEC Athlete of the Week this year. Rammelkamp finished in 47th place with a 26:31 time, shaving two minutes off his 8K time from his last race.

The Seahawks will face strong competition at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet Saturday, October 20th before they hit the NEC Championships on October 27th in New Britain, CT.
