Hamden, CT -- After a week off the Wagner College cross country squads were back on the trail earlier today at the Quinnipiac Invite. The Seahawk women finished in sixth place while the men did not qualify for a team score.

With leading runner sophomore Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro) taking the weekend off the Green & White relied on some veterans to pile up the points. Junior Meaghan Robbins (Waymart, PA/Western Wayne) led the way with a 22nd place finish at 19:56.6. Behind Robbins was senior Maris Reutzel (Meadville, PA/Meadville) in 37th place at 20:21.9. The next Green & White finishers came back to back at 49th and 50th place. Freshman Jenna Naglieri (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) clocked a time of 20:55.1 while drifting right behind was sophomore Ryan Rogers (Islip, NY/Islip) at 20:56.1. Ashley Mallen (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) rounded out the runners for Wagner in 55th place crossing the finish at 21:14.1.

On the men's side, senior Kyle Sultzer (Archbald, PA/Valley View) paced the Wagner contingent with a 14th place time of 27:08.6. Junior Mouhamed Halwani (Staten Island, NY/Xaverian) was next up at 34th overall with a time of 28:14.0. The other two runners on the day for the men were Allen Koehler (Okeana, OH/William Henry Harrison) who grabbed 44th place at 28:44.2 and Andrew Keating (Riverside, RI/Mount Saint Charles) who was running in his first race of the year in 80th position with a time of 30:40.3.

Next up on the schedule for the Seahawks are the METS Championships at Van Cortlandt Park. That highly anticipated event jumps off on October 6.
