Nicholson enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Wagner track and field and cross country programs. Nicholson made his way to Wagner from Eastern Connecticut State University. During his tenure with the Warriors he earned several awards including the ECSU 2005 & 2006 Male Athlete of the Year, 2006 Indoor NCAA All American, and received All New England Division III Honors in the 200m, 400m, and 4x400m in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. He also holds honors for the All New England (Open) in the 400m from 2003-2006.

Nicholson is also a graduate of Northwest Catholic High School where he ran track and field for four years...played football for two years and ran cross-country for two...three-time all-conference selection in track and program's MVP as a senior...two-year track captain...sparked 4x200 relay indoors and 4x100 relay outdoors to state titles...

The nutmeg state native graduated from ECSU in 2006 with a degree in sport and leisure management. He currently resides on Staten Island.
