Volleyball Signs Three to Letters of Intent
Dec. 7, 2006 Orem, Utah - Utah Valley State Volleyball coach Sam Atoa has announced the signing of three players to letters of intent during November's early signing period. Jaicee Kuresa (Millville, Utah, Kayli Broadbent (Gilbert, Arizona) and Lanni O'Reilly (Redlands, California) will join Wolverines next fall for the 2007 season. "I'm very excited with who we've signed this year," said Wolverine head coach Sam Atoa. "All three of these girls have good experience and will be able to help us in all areas. They are very coachable and all want to be here and I'm excited to start working with them in the fall." Kuresa was recently named second team All-State by the Salt Lake Tribune. The daughter of David and Susanne Kuresa, she averaged over 20 kills per match in 2006. She is also an All-Region performer and plays basketball and participates in the high jump at Mountain Crest. She is a region champion in the high jump and finished 2nd in state twice. Broadbent is a two-time honorable mention All-State performer out of Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Arizona. She has also been named to the All-Tribune team twice and 5A Conference First Team twice. Academically, she is a member of the National Honor Society and a three-year Principal Scholar. Broadbent was also nominated as a Wendy's All-American. Her parents are Michael and Konni Broadbent. O'Reilly is from Redlands High School in Redlands, California where she was the team MVP. The daughter of Kevin and Tamy O'Reilly, she was named 1st Team All-League and the Citrus Belt League's Most Valuable Player. O'Reilly also plays basketball at Redlands. |
