Koelliker Named D-I Independent Setter of the Week

Orem, Utah - Utah Valley State senior setter Lacee Koelliker was named the Division-I Independent Setter of the Week on Tuesday for her perfomance last week.

Koelliker averaged 12.29 assists per game for a total of 86 assists in wins over South Dakota State and North Dakota State.

She had 44 assists in a sweep of South Dakota State, an average of over 14 assists per game. Koelliker also totaled nine kills, eight blocks (1.14 bpg) and four service aces in the two matches.

It marks the 3rd time this fall that she has earned the honor after winning it in back-to-back weeks on September 12th and 19th.

Koelliker currently has 942 assists so far in 2006 and should reach the 1,000 assist plateau this weekend. It will be the 3rd time in four seasons that she will reach 1,000 assists. She is also 171 assists away from reaching 4,000 for her career.

Koelliker is averaging 11.35 assists per game, which is 3rd among all Independent players.

Other Wolverines ranking among the Independent leaders include Jessica Endres, who is 1st in hitting percentage with a .342 average and Camie Manwill's 4.25 kills per game ranks her 2nd.

IPFW's Cynara Martins was named Offensive Player of the Week while UC Davis' Avreeta Singh was named Defensive Player of the Week and IPFW's Rebekah Roehm earned the Newcomer of the Week award.

Koelliker, along with seniors Brooke Adams and Stephanie McFarland, will wrap up their home careers with two matches his weekend. The Wolverines host Montana State Friday night at 7pm before Senior Night takes place Saturday at 7pm against Texas-Pan American.
