Endres and Wilson Sweep Awards For Second Consecutive Week

OREM, Utah For the second consecutive week, Utah Valley swept the Division-I Independent weekly awards after the team went a perfect 2-0 last week. Senior Jessica Endres earned Offensive Player of the Week and Sophomore Allyce Wilson nabbed Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Endres led the Wolverines to wins over independent opponents Chicago State and Texas-Pan American. She averaged 5.29 kills and 1.29 blocks per game while hitting .500 (37-6-62) for the week.

She hit .591 with 15 kills in a sweep at Chicago State and had 22 digs and hit .450 with a block solo and seven block assists in a four-game win over Texas-Pan American.

Wilson had matches of 23 and 25 digs in two wins last week over Chicago State and Texas-Pan American, an average of 6.86 digs per game.

It's the second straight time that Wilson and Endres have earned a player of the week award this season. The award is the third for Wilson on the season.

The weekly Division I independent awards are nominated and voted on by the sports information department at seven independent NCAA schools.
